The place where the famous Kumbh Mela is organized, Haridwar is a district in Uttarakhand whose name translates to “Gateway to Lord Vishnu “. It is the place where the famous Kumbh Mela is organized every 12 years, gathering millions of devotees and tourists. In Haridwar you can visit the Chandi Devi Temple, visit Har ki Pauri, and be a part of Ganga Arti.


Valley of Flowers National Park

Located in North Chamoli and Pithoragarh, it is a national park home to various species of animals and beautiful flowers. Asiatic Black Bear, Snow Leopard, Musk deer, Red Fox and birds like Himalayan Monal Pheasant and some endemic alpine flowers are found here. The ideal time to visit this place is around July and August when maximum number of flowers bloom, but you can also plan your trip around May, June and September.
